Graduate Business Advising

 

 

Welcome to the Monte Ahuja College of Business Graduate Advising Center !

The center provides services to current and prospective students. The Graduate Business Advising Center serves all traditional graduate students of the Monte Ahuja College of Business regarding educational program and planning, academic advising, graduation evalulation, petition services, and scholarships.

Why you need advising?

Graduate students are encouraged to meet with an academic advisor. An advisor will help ensure that you take the proper courses to fulfill degree requirements.

How to make an appointment?

Level II waivers

Prerequiste courses within Level II may be waived after departmental review. To submit a waiver request, please follow the following steps: 1) download the waiver request form for each waiver requested, 2) submit a current resume, and 3) submit transcripts. Send information to the Graduate Advising Office via fax or e-mail (contact information is located at the bottom of this page).

Graduation

All students must complete a graduation application before a degree will be conferred.  Guidelines exist for graduation application procedures.  Applications may be obtained from the Advising Office, BU 219.  All students must meet with an Academic Advisor before submitting a graduation application. 

Academic Regulations

Credit hours: in order to have full-time status, a student must register for a minimum of eight graduate credits

Withdrawal policy: please consult with the CSU Academic Calendar for a listing of important registration dates, including withdrawal deadlines. Please note that ALT scheduled courses have earlier dates than traditional university courses. ALT deadlines are posted in Campus Net.

Academic Standing

Academic Warning: students will be reviewed by the Graduate Programs Committee if a grade of one "F," or two grades of "B-" or less. The Commitee will determine whether the student may continue in the graduate program.

Readmission

Students who have been academically dismissed from the university may petition for readmission following a one-year absence (minimum). In order to initiate such a request an appointment with an academic advisor is required. Please contact the Graduate Advising Center for information regarding deadlines associated with this process.

Mandatory Dismissal

A student will be dismissed by the Graduate College if two grades of "F" are earned OR there are 9 credits of "B-" grades and a cumulative GPA of less than 3.00
