The Cleveland Composer’s Recording Institute at Cleveland State University invites interested composers to apply for an intense weeklong workshop dedicated to the studio recording production of new works. Each participant will have the opportunity to have a work of his or her own rehearsed by the resident professional ensemble, then produced in a 2-hour long recording session. Composers will sit in on each recording session in studio, studying the process and challenges of commercial level recording production. Each participant will actively assist in the recording production of his or her own composition.
Daily Institute Schedule:
Morning: Participants meet in an informal forum to present their music to one another.
Afternoon: Recording Sessions of Participant’s Compositions.
Evening: Rehearsals of compositions scheduled for the next day of recording.
