What is the Founders Society?

The Founders Society recognizes donors who pledge to support Cleveland State University with annual gifts of $1,000 and above.  Members are individuals that President Berkman can count on, year after year, for the private support the University needs to maintain academic excellence and meet the growing needs of students and the Northeast Ohio region.

Why Join the Founders Society?

Each year, state funding decreases, while need and merit increase. With your gift, Cleveland State can offer new student scholarships, faculty and staff development, academic programs, multidisciplinary centers, technology, library resources, facility upgrades, and so much more.

What Can I Expect when I Join the Founders Society?

With your gift to the Founders Society, you can help CSU to offer the highest quality education, as well as new and improved research efforts to better prepared students - students who have worked hard to get into CSU, and who will work hard to stay in Northeastern Ohio. You can help us to retain these students, to increase their chances of graduating, and you can help us provide the support network that is necessary to college graduates in today’s changing world.

You can expect a commitment from us to use your gift to provide for students who deserve an education but may not be able to afford it.  You can expect it to change the future. And you can expect it to change lives.

Finally, you can expect us to thank you! Founders Society members will be recognized in the University’s Honor Roll of Donors, appearing in Perspective magazine and online.  They will also receive an invitation to an annual recognition event with President Berkman. All gifts are tax deductible as permitted by law.
