CSU is a young, dynamic institution with high aspirations for being one of Ohio's best centers of student learning. Toward this end the institution is committed to reinforcing campus priorities that lead to Student Success. Within the last few years the institution has systematically and purposefully set about to build programmatic bridges between its core functions of teaching, research, and service and the pursuit of excellence in undergraduate education. These new bridges pave the way for student success on campus. Listed below are some examples of organizational changes aimed at Student Success.

Significant organizational changes include the following:

• Special Assistants to the President for Student Success champion retention efforts on campus
• Academic leadership for Student Affairs in pursuit of unified student and faculty priorities
  • Creation of a new Office of Undergraduate Studies
  • Realignment of Advising Services with the core academic mission of the university
  • Embedding of developmental education in mathematics and English within the academic colleges
• Creation of the office of Director of General Education
