Last week, I released an update to the campus community on the status of the University's 2012 Budget. At that time I anticipated that we would hold an Open Forum on Friday, April 29 to provide information and to seek your input into this process. I have decided to delay the holding of this forum to allow our budget team more time to analyze and prepare possible alternatives. We will thus hold an Open Forum on Friday, May 6, 2011 at noon in Fenn Tower's Panel Hall (FT 303) to share with you the most current status of the information that will be presented to the Board of Trustees Financial Affairs Committee on May 17 and to again seek your input. Pending legislative passage of the state budget, we will ask the Board of Trustees to approve the 2012 budget at its June 28 meeting.

I believe that the process we began one year ago has prepared us to make the adjustments necessary to meet the financial goals while continuing to make progress on the University's strategic plan.
