Each year beginning in July and no later than the start of fall semester, faculty and staff who wish to park on the CSU campus are required to register their vehicle with the Parking & Transportation Services department. Parking registration includes the assignment of a parking tag. Two basic types of tags are offered to faculty and staff members: Prepaid and Daily Usage.
When registering for parking, faculty and staff members need their vehicle license plate number, CSU ID, and payment.
A Daily Usage tag allows the tag holder to pay as they park. The $6 parking fee is paid to the parking attendant upon entering the lot. Cash only is accepted for payment (no checks or credit cards). Not all lots accept Daily Usage parkers and some lots restrict times when the Daily Usage tags are accepted. Parking on campus with a Daily Usage tag without paying the daily fee is prohibited. There is no fee to register for the Daily Usage tag. This is a more economical option for parkers who visit campus twice per week or less
Faculty and Staff may register for a Daily Usage tag through CampusNet or in person at the Parking & Transportation Services Office. Part time employees and adjunct faculty are not able to register for parking via CampusNet.
The Sale of Ten + Two will be discontinued on February 1, 2012 They will no longer be accepted on campus after June 30th, 2012
A Prepaid parking tag allows the parker to park in most prepaid parking lots on campus. The parking fee may be payroll deducted for the duration of the tag or paid up front at time of registration. This tag offers more parking spaces to faculty staff parkers than the Daily Usage tag. Prepaid parkers are guaranteed parking on campus but are not guaranteed a specific location.
The permit payroll deduction rate for 2011-2012 is $68 per month for an annual tag ($78 per month for Fall or Spring semester). Payroll deduction is available for most university employees. Deductions are made on a pre-tax basis and are taken from the second paycheck each month.
The purchase of an Annual permit can also be transacted through a CampusNet account with Visa, Mastercard, or Discover Card. Part time employees and adjunct faculty are not able to register for parking via CampusNet.
There are five Faculty Staff Prepaid Parking options:
Annual, Semester, and PG Pass permit prices are prorated through the year. Check with Parking & Transportation Services for current pricing. Permits purchased through payroll deduction may require a partial payment for the starting month before the payroll deduction can be processed.
With the exception of the SG and PG, Pre Paid Faculty Staff parking tag holders may park in CSU parking facilities with posted Special Event rates at no additional charge.
Prepaid Faculty and Staff tag holders may park in SG during normal business operations. Viking Card access is required. All Prepaid Faculty and Staff tagholders automatically have their access card activated to park in the SG. The SG is attended only during special events.
Faculty and Staff traveling to and from destinations are encouraged to use the CSU Escorts by calling 216.687.2020.
In order to recieve a refund on a Pre Paid parking hangtag, Faculty and Staff must return their Pre Paid parking hangtags to the Parking & Transportation Services department upon separating from the University
In cases of Leave of Absence or Sabbatical, the Pre Paid parking hangtag must be returned to the Parking & Transportation Services office in order to halt automatic payroll deductions.
Upon return of Pre Paid parking hangtag, payroll deduction is ended. In the absence of a returned Pre Paid parking hangtag, the monthly liability continues. For Prepaid parking hangtags paid in full, a refund check is sent to the Pre Paid parking hangtag holder's mailing address for any remaining full months. Individuals who continue their employment but wish to return a Prepaid Faculty Staff parking hangtag may do so for a refund. All refund checks are sent to the tagholder's home address..
Each individual who chooses to park at Cleveland State University is expected to comply with established rules and procedures. See additional information under Parking Rules.
